All leather products are made from full-grain cowhide. We use sustainable natural leather certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG) to ensure durability and quality. Every piece is finished by hand, including stitching and edge painting, and falls into three main types:
Characteristics: fully drum-dyed and vegetable tanned. The surface changes over time and develops a unique character; frequent handling accelerates this process, and minor marks can gradually blend into the patina.
1. Vegetable-tanned leather is natural full-grain cowhide with minimal chemical coating. It gradually darkens and develops a warm patina through use; this is a normal characteristic.
2. Protect it from moisture, rain, soaking and prolonged contact with water or oil. If wet, press gently with a clean soft cloth and allow it to air-dry in the shade. Do not expose it to direct sun or hot air.
3. Keep it away from sharp objects, colour-transferring fabrics, cosmetics and alcohol-based disinfectants to prevent scratches, staining, hardening and cracking.
4. In dry seasons, apply a very small amount of specialist leather conditioner every two to three months. Spread it thinly with the grain, allow it to absorb and polish gently; avoid heavy or frequent oiling.
Characteristics: full-grain cowhide with a professionally coloured surface, chemically tanned in accordance with LWG standards.
1. Chrome-tanned leather is flexible, stable and resistant to deformation and colour loss. Its protective surface is more resistant to dirt and water than vegetable-tanned leather and does not develop an obvious patina.
2. Keep it away from sharp objects and fingernails, and avoid forceful folding or compression that may crease or damage the surface.
3. Do not expose it to alcohol, disinfectant, make-up remover, oil or colour-transferring fabrics. Remove marks promptly with a clean, slightly damp soft cloth; never wash, soak, sun-dry or heat-dry it.
4. Frequent oiling is unnecessary. If the surface feels dry or loses lustre, apply a small amount of general leather cream and polish lightly; heavy oil can penetrate and damage the coating.
Characteristics: full-grain cowhide with a professionally coloured surface, combining chemical and vegetable tanning in accordance with LWG standards.
1. Semi vegetable-tanned leather combines a natural feel and a gentle patina with improved shape stability, durability and stain resistance. A warm surface character developing through use is normal.
2. Protect it from moisture, prolonged rain, soaking and large oil stains. Blot small water marks immediately with a clean soft cloth and air-dry in a cool, ventilated place; never use direct sun, hot air or high heat.
3. Keep it away from sharp objects, dark colour-transferring fabrics, alcohol-based disinfectants, cosmetics and organic solvents to prevent scratches, staining, hardening and cracking.
4. In dry seasons, apply a thin layer of light leather oil or cream every three to four months. Wipe with the grain and use sparingly; avoid frequent or heavy application.
